Abstract

State spatial transformation is one of the key topics in contemporary human geography and social sciences more broadly. Its centrality as a research foci stems from the changing spatiality of the political economies of the world over the past decades. This paper discusses the changing spatiality of the Finnish state, and elaborates the recent transnationalization of spatial policies in particular.
